During my recent journey through Gatineau, I stumbled upon a two-star motel that surprised me in the best possible way. While the rooms were a touch dated, they were impressively spacious, clean, and offered a comfortable bed that ensured a peaceful night's sleep. The air conditioning kept the room at a nice temperature, which I appreciated after long days exploring the outdoors. The owner was notably friendly, even accommodating our late arrival without a hitch. Although the motel lacks frills, the free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TV were great perks for winding down after a day of adventure. Given its strategic location just minutes from downtown Ottawa, it provided excellent value for money - a perfect choice for budget-conscious travelers. I'd definitely consider returning!
